Sisters Julie Simone and Vicki Vlasic returned to their roots to film Fiddlin’ at the World’s Oldest and Largest Fiddler’s Convention in Galax, VA. Julie and Vicki were given permission to film for the first time in the convention’s 80-year history after Moose Lodge members discovered the sisters had grown up in the area. Producer Jill Mazursky, an LA native, and daughter of writer/director Paul Mazursky, joined the team at the outset sharing her documentary experience & contagious enthusiasm.

Julie, Vicki, and Jill wish to thank all the amazing musicians, hard-working crew, and post-production talent. Thanks to our incredibly generous investors as well as the Rogovy Foundation and From The Heart Productions. Without these resources and the generosity of many people in Galax, VA, Fiddlin’ would not have happened. Levy and JoAnn Weisel, who went above and beyond on the Fiddlin’ tour with their time and generosity. And lastly, pure gratitude and thanks to Robert Schwartzman and his team at Utopia for distributing and marketing our joyful and rollicking film so others can experience the wonderful world of Old-Time and Bluegrass music!
